Our Story
SCRAP was set up in 2016 with the aim of offering the local community a source of low cost, recycled materials whilst providing vulnerable adults a safe place to gain confidence and work experience.
A large proportion of the items found in the store are “rescued” from local businesses, reducing waste and putting usable stuff to better use than landfill! More and more ranges are being added all the time which are sold at minimum cost to help local people and groups get real value for money.
Currently run by three directors, the store is a community interest company aimed solely at benefiting the local community. Visitors to the store are consulted regularly to ensure that we meet the needs of our community and allow us to develop.
